AiroMatic is a high quality, low powered ventilation system designed to reduce internal temperatures and help remove damaging condensation in the roof space. The AiroMatic has a high performance equivalent of up to 6 wind-driven whirlybirds. The clear dome allows light into the roof area for improved visibility and also helps to deter unwanted vermin.
The unique Edmonds design speed controller allows the selection of three fixed speeds, allowing just the right amount of flow to be set to suit the severity of the conditions without increasing power consumption. It also includes a built-in Air iQ smart box that can automatically detect heat and humidity to protect the home when it matters most. It can be mounted to any rake between 3 and 35 degrees.
The Edmonds Airomatic is the first of Edmonds range of ventilators developed using advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software, as used in the aerospace industry. This software has allowed Edmonds to produce a ventilator with a higher flow rate and efficiency than other ventilators while reducing its overall noise level and physical size.
AiroMatic in summer
During summer your roof space can reach temperatures of up to 70°C which could soak down through insulation into your home. This heat also makes air conditioning less efficient as it has to work harder to push cool air into the living areas.
AiroMatic in cooler months
During winter, humid air from cooking, cleaning & washing your clothes, rises into the roof space. Without ventilation, this humid air can turn to condensation which can cause mould, mildew or even structural damage to your home. AiroMatic’s high flow rate extracts humid air from the roof which helps minimise condensation formation in order to prevent mould growth, or structural decay of timber. Additionally, the clear acrylic dome is designed to allow light into the roof space to deter pests that can cause allergens thus, increasing comfort in your home.
What is the benefit of a smart vent?
The biggest benefit of installing a smart roof vent is that one smart vent has power equivalent to 6 natural driven vents. Smart vents also have the benefit of working on a continuous basis, without reliance on the wind for a low cost of $35/ year based on $0.28 per kW/H.
How many AiroMatics do I need?
A single AiroMatic can be sufficient to ventilate roof spaces up to 127m2. Ultimately, the number of ventilators you will need will depend on the size and pitch of your roof space.
